Thanks for reporting your issue. CitizenSocial is a platform to collectively voice your issues and highlight them. We believe that it is ultimately citizens who will and should decide the course of development in their locality. We invite all the stakeholders to be a part of this platform for a healthy interaction with citizens for solving their issues.
We certainly dont claim to be a helpline or to solve all the problems with a magic wand. We humbly accept our position as an enabler with a platform on which citizens, welfare associations, elected representatives, administration can participate for solving our issues. We do try to highlight the issues having lot of support (votes) by sending them to media, any helpline that we know of etc.

Everyday I go through the same route, why I have to go through this stampede kind of situation, I am also paying taxes, and I need answer from railway ministry. TV9 news channel has started a campaign for safety of commuters in Mumbai's Central and Western Local, I suggest even you people can join them and take up this issue it is not only with Kurla Station Checkout DADAR, GHATKOPAR, even stations like Nalasopara are crowded. And I don't understand why they cant make 1st class compartments AIR CONDITIONED. They are Charging more than they deserve for that treatment
Please understand one thing that people stand in doors even if there is ample space inside coz of suffocation inside it

At citizensocial, we are trying to get people with similar issues onto a common platform. We think that by using the standard grievance mechanisms of the govt in a open-transparent manner with the "people" coming together will get the attention of officials and hopefully faster closure of issues

Please it is a very serious issue and I thank Sagar for taking up this issue on this portal. If your team could get through this, then your portal has got the power and I would recommend it. I have seen new mumbai stations they are cool even in the peak hours but, our Mumbai Stations are simply pathetic.

thanks for reporting the issue. we sent a sms to the central railways number (90044 11111 : please correct if this is not the one).
This seems like a pretty serious problem. Hopefully the administration will respond. It will surely help if more people vote for this.
